Hey Guys, this is a Star Trek XI ad-on. it includes the USS Enterprise, the Standard Starfleet Shuttle, escape pods, nukelets, and bases. this ad on is FULLY D3D9 compatible (D3D11 unknown). i will be uploading more ad-ons as part of an ongoing Star Trek XI project (e.g. other starships, stations, bases, systems, etc.)

this is a FIXED version of the original, which was having some issues loading the .DLLs

this ad-on has been updated 24.06.13 with better compressed textures

please rate and comment on this ad-on. your feedback means so much to me :)

happy orbiting, MrMartian

Not tried it yet but she has gorgeous lines.

Congratulations on the unbelievable models.
This is going to be stunning. Also, D3D9 certainly does a great job here.

Thanks, i have been playing orbiter for a couple of years now, and i only just discovered other graphics clients, so it was really exciting to play around with new visual features and try and exploit the client's features and capabilities as much as possible. Anyway, im glad u like it, it means a lot to me :)

OK, I can't see anything in O2010P1 with default or D3D9 v10 client. Does it need a more recent beta version of Orbiter?

ed. Fixed, sort of. Ran in windowed mode and found that MSVCR100D.dll was missing. This is the debug runtime, you need to recompile the modules in release configuration.

Very nice model btw!

I was just about to tell you about the dll file.
Yes, Microsoft say, whoever compiles leaving the D on end of the dll. file didn,t release it for general use.

I can verify as well the dll file issue, as soon as it loads it tells me "error MSVCR100.dll is missing," even though I have it installed.

I'm confused as to why this is a "Microsoft says" thing.

Obviously if you compile in debug mode you haven't intended it for the general user (or, as in this case, forgot to switch to release mode).

A lot of people have been commenting on the .dll files not being compiled properly. i know that there is a way to properly compile the .dlls before release, but i am not quite sure how to do that  if anyone could tell me how, i will address the problems ASAP

Make sure you compile in Release mode. Among the toolbars you should see two dropdown menus saying something like "Debug" and "Win32".
You need to change "Debug" to "Release".

FIX AD-ON

ok everyone, i have made a fix ad on, if it works, please tell me and i will update the original ad-on

here it is:

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=6174"]Star Trek XI - first installment - .DLL fix[/ame]

Set it to "Release" mode in solution configuration, and then set all library paths, etc, or import property sheets.

Computerex made a video for it here:

In regards to your second 'DLL fix' upload, you can update your addons without another upload from your account settings on Orbithangar.

FIX AD-ON

everyone, i just tried the ad-on on my Laptop, and i see what you mean. i have uploaded the .dll files for the vehicles, just copy into your orbiter directory and overwrite all files. here is the link:

happy orbiting, MrMartian

I'd love to give some feedback on this, but haven't been able to download it. 48MB is a lot for this connection, and since OrbitHangar doesn't support multiple connections or download resuming, if the connection is interrupted for even half a second, it's back to square 1. :(

An excellent and detailed realization, but the JJ-Prise is very, very ugly.
I'm not precisely a fan of the franchise reboot, as you can understand.
TOS Enterprise all the life!
