Is there a Saturn Ib addon anywhere? I searched Orbithangar but didn't find one.

As a side note, I'm not sure if anyone is aware, but this forum requires at least four words in a search string, so it's not possible to search for "Saturn Ib" If that's intentional, cool. But it seems odd to me.

You can use an add-on by Sputnik for that (more will come later, he has some interesting surprises coming at you)

I know Sputnik was working on something he called Velcro Rockets. I believe it will include a wide range of historical boosters, including the entire Saturn family, with a fairly easy way of mounting payloads. (I am looking forward to adding a launch scenario to Skylab, if he ever gets Velcro released.)

I don't see "Sputnik" listed as member here. Is he still floating around, clinging to the wreckage of M6? Do we need to toss him a life line and haul him in?

That sounds great. If it's half as good as his titans collection it'll be epic.

cvel? Everything he's done in the past has been cvel. Doesn't get much easier than that.

I've wanted to do that too. I haven't looked into it much. I think it'd be nice to have a working SkyLab option in addition to the historical broken one with its single solar panel.

He is still around. If he has got back to me on the query I'm asking him I'll let him know about the new forum..

I never knew such craft was planned

Not just planned, it was built and several were launched. The Saturn Ib is a way of getting an Apollo CSM into LEO in those situations where you do not need to go all the way to the moon. It was used for testing Apollo hardware, for trips to Skylab, and for the Apollo/Soyuz launch.

Here's a pic of the NASSP version (thanks Tschachim)
