One thing I notice once again is that NASA somehow always manages to design very cool windows. At least to my taste 🤷‍♂️ I like that those of Orion will always remind me of the Shuttle in terms of the surrounding TPS. Is it the same type of HTRSI?

I'm of two minds. Actually I'm a "pilot" fanboy. In this regard the Shuttle was just completely awesome. But I also really love cone shaped capsules although they're just "falling bricks" (except during entry). Damn, can't wait to get HQ videos from inside in the future...

Years ago while working on Constellation I in a planning meeting I said we should think about adding a camera to the outside of Orion and let the people watch this in real time. these videos and pictures are just breathtaking !

For those interested I am using AMSO to land a LM at different Apollo sites that were looked at in 2016. Alphonsus crater is one of them and even with then issue it's way cool to explore those new sites. I did land at Archimedes area on the side of a hill and the eva guys have a hard time walking down hill and the rover rolls down the hill but did explore a Lava Lake. I need to fine a flatter valley

Incredible!

In that first one, on the top of the SM umbilical, it says "NO STEP"... Is NASA worried about space creatures trying to climb aboard and standing on the wrong thing?
I think it's funny once placards for preflight stuff get into space and make no sense once in flight!

Those low sun-angle lunar surface pics are both amazing and foreboding at the same time.:cautious:
I want to be down there on the surface!
