The thought is to have a scenario where the goal is revealed as you progress. Arriving then entering a base could reveal text instructions for the next step or a cargo container for shipment, for example. Not knowing all the objectives of the scenario would make it more fun to play.

I have two unrelated ideas for Orbiter. I do not know if either of these ideas are feasible. What would be involved? 1: From LEO you the DGIV captain opens a reconnaissance MFD and view a detailed satellite view of the earth directly under your craft. The MFD is tied into Google Earth...

I thought it wold be easy to take the excellent World of 2001 StationV and use it with in a DGIV scenario. I copied the StationV.mesh, .cfg, .ddl and referenced .dds files into the Orbiter directory. Every thing works, it is great fun to dock with, but I can not switch ships to StationV and it...

DgIV and Perseus for deep space. It also doubles as a space station.

We need an Edwards AFB for this version of Orbiter. Nothing special just a runway.

It sounds like for games and some special apps, (read Photoshop) Windows is still the way to go. I will stick with XP for now. How about games? Anything special that I should check out?

When going from Moon to Earth, I am unable to use IMFD 5.1 until out of the moon's SOI. Can you outline the settings you used for Surface Launch and Planet Approach while you were on the moon's surface. I am using DGIV, but the settings should be the same. Thanks

Have you chosen a launch date? And just as important, what would be the optimum date for the return flight.

Thanks for the information. I am going to try out the autopilot. I also want to see if flight recorder allows replay while flying a new spacecraft.
