I have posted a new version of AerobrakeMFD to Orbit Hangar Mods that fix the instability of touchdown point.

Works like clockwork now! Thanks!

Good job! :tiphat:

I'm probably to blame for that bug.
The idea was to set a target altitude for the final calculated state. Most of the time you aren't interested in the speed you will hit the surface because you will change attitude when you get close to the ground anyway (unless you're in a capsule type craft).
In a winged or lifting body craft it would be nice to know how to get to 'x' altitude with 'y' ground speed.

But the change was never de-bugged. :(

Sorry about that.

curse you! :P

well, its fixed now, and its not hard to set an overshoot of a few KM to leave a bit of altitude for approach, so i guess we're good to go!

Hi C3PO, it's not a problem related to your request!

Orbter 2010 has a better atmospheric model and the solution of the differential equation stops very near the ground. When the number was "instable" the height of the tochdown point was of few meters above the ground, with old Orbiter calculation was stopped so inside the surface level that asking for height gave always a negative number!
