Yes, I have the same problem with certain scenarios!
Interestingly, if I hold it prograde it doesn't have this issue, and it only seems to happen in low orbit.

---------- Post added 10-23-16 at 01:05 AM ---------- Previous post was 10-22-16 at 10:49 PM ----------

The Antares LR and SR command modules are invisible in Orbiter 2010 both DX9 and standard. I'm getting an error about Procedure entry point. In the log it just says it coudn't load the module. Must be an incompatibility with Orbiter 2010.

Ok, noise and launchpad elevation issiues fixed..

Orbiter 2010 capsule disappearing problem is on my list! It seems that heatshield creation has some problem in all orbiter versions.

I'm worried about this thing about orbit change in LEO with no engine firing.. What happens to me is a slow orbit apogee altutude increasing.. Main engine and RCS are both off and my orbit changes without any input command...

Which version of the Antares does this happen with? I found a similar problem with the antares RV where if I activate the engines they don't stop and slowly produce thrust.

It happens with AntaresLR, but just in ALR-1 launch scenario: after orbit insertion and vessel separation orbit starts to increase.. this is courious because it doesn't happen in other scenarios... time acceleration can affect simulation... I suggest to switch GET display off.. it's nice but it's an FPS killer...

Commander in spacesuit bug fixed.. another step further

I don't think that MS2015 will use your vessels thruster for separation....so maybe...unlikely.
However, to make sure, that the Antares-thrusters are not doing anything, you could try to reset/re-init them.
During my testing of various autpilot-MFDs, PusruitMFD was helpull here.
I have used this "procedure":
-dissengage whatever autopilot
-vessel is still accelerating into whatever direction caused by the bug
=I used PursuitMFDs attitude-hold modes to re-init the RCS, so finaly they were cut-off.
Just press AP "on" and "off" (like a double-click) in PursuitMFD should be enough.

Correct: ms2015 does not use any thruster for separation, so it's something coming from antares. Fausto i suggest to log or at least to debug both the attitude rotation and linear levels of antares throughout the launch to get the root of the issue

Orbiter 2010 full compatibility could be accomplished by compiling this addon separately for each version.. as correctly suggested me by Fred on FOI..
Meanwhile I'll try to fix the orbit increasing bug..

New beta avaiable.

Bug fixed:

-Commander in spacesuit bug fixed

-Crew member spacesuit mesh not dark anymore

-Recompiled for Orbiter 2010: reentry capsule now working

-Scenario loaded vessels search for multistage2015: old MS2 no more needed

-Launch pad black spots fixed

Unfixed bugs:

-Sometimes vessel goes crazy in LEO: orbit changes without any burn and things like that.. (I found the solution maybe )

-Fairing rendering inside VC still disappears after first stage separation

To do:

-Cam shake effect at launch, engine burn and reentry (not cam shake addon)

-Clock display more FPS friendly..

I will send a PM to testers with two different links: Orbiter2010 version and orbiter 2016 version.

Excellent, time for some testing.

---------- Post added at 04:57 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:17 PM ----------

It works very well in 2010, I did a full Antares SR mission (from launch to landing) with no problems. I even managed a perfect landing at White Sands within 20 km using BaseSync MFD.

Jarvis flies smoothly with MS2015. I'm having a few problems with Antares, especially when it comes to re-entry. Orbiter freezes right before atmospheric interface with just the capsule. I suspect it's something to do with the re-entry texture that's generated over the heatshield.

I'm still having this problem with the latest beta for Orbiter 2016. Antares flies without issue until the heatshield begins to glow, then the entire game freezes and I have to pull up the task manager to end the program. I suspect it's an issue with D3D9.

Ok, I can add an option to deactivate heatshield effect to avoid D3D9 issues...

In the ALR-3 launch scenario (after second stage separation) the third stage starts wobbling all over the place and doesn't place the payload into a proper orbit.

Third stage orbit insertion was manual in previous version. I created a rough autopilot that usually works. It needs some improvements. When I launch the orbit reached is correct (128 km perigee,) but the pitch moves up and down. I'll work on this one.

Inline cabin vibration during launch and firing implemented!

I see, is the autopilot capable of being defined for a specific set of parameters (periapsis, apoapsis)?

No, it isn't at at the moment. You can set those parameters in Jarvis M - Multistage2015 ini file to fly a correct ascent profile, but final 3rd stage thrust will rise your orbit up to a low altitude perigee (128 km). Further orbit corrections have to be done manually. I could "steal" Fred's work once again in order to obtain a precise orbit insertion. He did a great work with those PEC-based autopilots and he's the right man to help me coding a good third stage performace in a future version

I'm still getting a crash with the Antares LR in Orbiter 2010, after service module separation. The Antares RV and SR work very well.

Development is in stand by now. We're preparing the new "Red Antares" bonus scenario. More information in the future (or on FOI)
