Problem Burntimecalc doesnt show up

I installed the burntimecalc 1.5 but it wont show up in the mfd select screen. I have enabled it in the launchpad, I have tried redownloading and copying over the dll etc. I have had this same mfd working on another computer. no mention of burntimecalc.dll in the orbiter.log file, not sure if there is meant to be though. if anyone one could suggest a fix for this that would be great! thanks.

My psychic powers tell me that you should use the "vcredist_x86.exe" incantation. That summons a divine being to deal with this nasty manifestation of the DLL Hell in your local spacetime.

yay Thankyou. that was probably staring me in the face in some requirements section wasn't it!

Actually, it's one of the quirks about Orbiter, it requires a few DLL's that aren't always installed in a default Windows install. There are a few others, but unless you have a black sky in the daytime you probably have at least one of them!

Well, i'd suggest we put a link to vcredist right on top of http://orbiter-forum.com/addons.php , because although it's not strictly and addon, it's still needed by those.

Although this information should come with every addon that actualy is compiled against such libaries...
