I'm nervous that this is from the same network that popularized moon-landing hoax conspiracy and has been teaching teens for over a decade that the most important ambition that they can have is to go to Hollywood and become an "idol."

I think it's genius to be put on there. That way those who watch that channel for American Idol can be exposed to the wonders of the cosmos and then begin to look into careers with science and space, instead of living in a fantasy world like you would by watching American Idol.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is the perfect guy for this job too.

I don't own a TV, but I will buy a TV just so I can watch this!

I'm just going to hope for it to be on Netflix.

Well, they are partnering up with Nat Geo. So we might not ever have to rely of FOX at all.

They do have a habit of doing some strange things ya' know (can't stop the signal).

Perhaps you overestimate Fox's audience. My fear is, it will have disappointing numbers and FOX will simply cancel it before the entire series airs.

Perhaps, but I have a feeling it won't have disappointing numbers. If it runs up against American Idol then I bet it will, but I doubt it.

Huge hopes for this.

How can it be against A.I.? They are on the same network.

My fear is also that they will try to put this on after A.I. to capture some of the audience, like they often do to promote things. What a mixed message.

I mean if it's before or after American Idol then the ratings will suffer.

Already set mine to DVR!

Can't wait to see the reboot. Wonder what it's ratings will be?

Even the title card looks good...

...Aaaand, not half as good as the original.

Seth McFarland needs to stick to comedy animations. And Neil Tyson needs to stick to PBS.

I look for Fox to cancel this before its run finishes. Had only about 1/10th the social media followers than Fox's crappy upcoming sitcoms as it was.

NatGeo might finish it through, though.

I had high hopes. What a shame. :(

It only takes one bad episode to get a series cancelled.
