Same. I thought I'd give a heads-up, but I didn't buy anything. Hornet or Tomcat are what I'm waiting for: those are guaranteed day-one purchases, seeing the developers' past projects.

Yeah. Right now, I would not even install one of the planes if they would be for free. Its not because they are bad, quite contrary. But I simply lack the time to really play many other planes. I will focus on those that I really wait for.

DCS modules are on -75% off "flash" (24-hour) deal on Steam now (except MiG-21 and MiG-15, which are -50% off) with a little more than 22 hours remaining before they will go back to their "regular" summer sale discount.

(Flash sale [eventtimer]2015-6-16 5:0?ends in|ended;%c% %h%:%mm%:%ss%[/eventtimer][eventtimer]2015-6-16 5:0?.| ago.;%c%[/eventtimer])

My spare time at the moment is quite rare, but I think it'll be possible for sure the other weekend. But unfortunately not in June right now.

No problem for me, I have to prepare for the next set of exams in July right now. But from second week in July on, I should have some time again.

So, what about a session this saturday evening? Say around 1600 UTC?
Any requests for the mission? Certain planes that must be added?
:)

A-10C, and maybe some friendly ground units moving into contact with hostile forces? And a Patriot near the home base for discouraging annoying visitors?

A typical loiter and communicate with JTAC mission would be great, with easy air defenses (like mostly AAA, I am not really well in training)

Ok, I'll see what I can do. I think, I'll recycle one of the older training maps and add some friendly ground units. So I can keep all the aircraft spawn points, enemy units and I think there are also already some JTAC active.

Any need to add some of the latest planes released?

Was a nice turn... some how I attracted suddenly appearing missiles with my A-10C this time... well, was a nice reason to practise flying at proper altitude again.

Just finished participating in Joint Warrior 4 with the SU-25T. Those organized events online are pretty epic... :)

Tell me more about it. :) And are there also events for A-10C jocks?

There sure is requirement for Hawgs! I was attached to a flight of four of them, with another Frogfoot. You can join the events one of two ways; when they are announced on the ED Forums -> Multiplayer subforum, and if you calculate you have the time on the day, sign on. Or if you are on a virtual squadron, sign on with them. I think priority goes to squadrons, but if they are short (as it seems they often are), you fly with one of them. They set up training evenings to bash out a strategy and practice tactics, with TS. I flew with the S-77th, who unfortunately lost, but yours truly was last man standing on the team (holding up the flag for OF squadron!). It was great fun!

I think Red Flag is next, from what I was listening to on TS. Doubt I will have the time for it, though. I was lucky today.

EDIT: I did not take any screen shots, but one of the A-10 drivers took one of me on SEAD escort.

I was lucky enough to have the day off today, so I turned up for the 104th Red Flag event on the Aggressors' side, with an F-15C. I was on the winning side this time. Did not hit anything, despite a volley of 120C's and 9M's fired at a couple of bandits (the pros are darned good at spoofing and evading), but there was lots of cool element flying and communications. Survived to the end.

Once again, it was epic stuff! :)
