I came to think that there must be a generic way to design a virtual cockpit.
What are the ergonomics and systems involved?

For example, how do you design a seat?
How do you design a control panel?

Any info on such ergonomics or design?

The are many (industry) standards on human interface design, which apply there. The information is out there, and you don't need to pay for getting a copy in all cases.
