Washington D.C. - After a three day cruise phase, the spacecraft Armstrong turned her 6 main engines toward the Earth a few hours ago and performed a braking burn, shedding her interplanetary velocity, and fell into a 350 kilometer high orbit a little after midnight here in Washington. Six orbits later the vehicle successfully rendezvoused with the ISS, and performed the most difficult and delicate docking operation in the stations history.
Immediately after docking, the remaining crew was transferred aboard from the station while engineer Hill Lewis performed the missions’ first spacewalk to sound both the Armstrong and the Enterprise for any signs of damage from the transfer from the moon. After an EVA lasting nearly 2 hours he pronounced both vessels fit to continue.
While in Earth orbit the Armstrong will undergo final provisioning and flight testing as well as mission simulation until her launch window on October 16th of this year.
With the full crew compliment finalized and on board we are happy to be able to finally release the crew list as it stands now.
Armstrong crew:
Capt. Terrence Armstrong -USAF – age 45 - Mission Commander – Dallas, Texas
Dr. Pete Olson – age 35 - Flight surgeon – Orlando, Florida
Hill Lewis IV – age 36 – Flight Engineer – Anchorage, Alaska
Dr. Maia Posidana – age 34 – Astrophysics – TelAviv, Israel
Dr. Albert Falcon Jr. – age 35 – Astrogeology – Edinburgh, Scotland
Dr. Marlene Oldman – age 27 – Chemistry and Astrobiology – Stuttgart, Germany
Thomas Aspinwall – age 43 – Electronics and Engineering – Seattle, Washington
Shannon McVey – age 44 – 2nd shift pilot – Juneau, Alaska
Lt. Arthur McVey - USMC - age 22 – Navigator – Yuma, Arizona
Thomas Bloodworth – age 45 – 3rd shift pilot – Ontario, Canada
Enterprise crew:
Commander Lee Nash - RAF – age 39 – Enterprise commander – London, England – Expected to be the first human to set foot on Mercury.
LCDR. Kara Miller – USN – age 33 – Enterprise Pilot – Honolulu, Hawaii

Engineer Hill Lewis sounding the Enterprise after arrival at ISS
Shall I check under the hood while I'm at it?
