Seems a simple ides or question on this forum is open to nothing more than hostile reply anymore. Am I the only one that goes through this?
I think we're pretty open and try very hard to be welcoming to new members.
Your "simple" request was to:
Make the new orbiter a universe simulator with great graphics galaxies, procedural worlds and a work station on earth that you can design, create and launch your own payloads for special purposes even using the shuttle or new tech, eg telescopes, probes, rovers, space port building ect
No one's telling you you can't work on this yourself, it's just going to take a bit of learning and a lot of work. Most of the members here have full time jobs or are students, and or have families.
Feature requests are always welcome as is collaboration. If there is something you really want to see in Orbiter you are more than welcome to lead the charge but it takes a lot of hours of work.
I worked on a project to add more realistic nonspherical gravity to Orbiter. It was mostly just expanding on an existing system, and the math was from existing papers. It still took me litteral hundreds of hours to impliment and over a year to test, with a lot of help and input from others.
No one here wants to be hostile to your request, but understand the magnitude of what you're asking for. There is some paid-software out there that does a small fraction of what you're asking for, and it takes hundreds of people working 60-80 hours for many years to get even close to a playable experience, let alone a finished product.
I would recommend you aim for something a bit more realistic and attainable, something you, yourself can work on. You'll get a feature you want; you'll learn something along the way, and you'll make some friends.
