It's a powerful card for it's price...

Speaking of powerful ones, does anyone know what will be the next high end nVidia card after GTX 280? I'm gonna wait for the I7 chip and a mobo with nVidia chipset and get the best gfx card out there :)

Like i said, it ain't much for a video card. It was designed mainly for home theater services, you have all connectors you need, and the arhitecture makes best for decoding videos.

Not to be an ATi fanboi, But currently, ATi is dominating the Gfx card market. The 4870X2 is currently the most powerful single GPU solution out there. Even in the budget segment, ATi is pwning nVidi's ass.

In the $150 range, HD4850 is the best. In the $120 range, there is the HD4830.

At ~$120-$130, you get a card that is equal to or better than 9800GT in most cases.

nVidia may have a dual GPU GTX 200 series card coming. There are also rumours of a GTX 270.
