Problem I need help Recovering Overwritten Files!!!

I unzipped a .zip into my orbiter folder and it overwrote a whole lot of important files. Does anyone know how to recover them?

AFAIK once some data has been overwritten, it is gone, but there is a chance that the hd didnot actually 'write' over where those files where in memory.

This one from PC tools is trial, and will show you if the files are recoverable, and this one might actually bring them back, but it is trial so I dont know what will really happen.

Wait, you said orbiter folder? unless it is a SDK folder with current dev going on, what is there that cannot be re downloaded?

Each are free. The first do what it can. But sometimes...
The second is really interesting. But for overwritten files i do not remember if it is in it's
options.

Restore from backup. As the files are listed as important I'm assuming you took one prior to making a change?
