It's a daunting task, but I'm not giving up on it. I've created a 3-D model of an airlock module for the truss. Now I've got to create an Orbiter mesh from it and make it functional, either as a separate vessel (DLL) module, as part of the Windmill code, or as a basic vessel (no separate DLL) with instructions the Windmill can read. The parts needing special coding being the door animation, the UmMU spawn point and any lighting.

Ok... Finally got Blender to export a usable mesh.

[Aack! I'm having trouble inserting images.]

It ain't pretty, but it should work as a visual reference for making the door animation and defining the EVA point.

I was going to use a swinging door, but I decided on an unplug-and-slide animation instead. Swinging inwards takes up too much space that needs to be re-pressurized. An outward swinging door would take more effort and time to secure in case of an emergency ingress.

Eventually, I might finish this version:

[Blender Screenshot goes here.]

I figured it was more important to get a working prototype, however, than to fool with fancy bezels and whatnot.
