im really sorry for yet another completely unrelated to space/orbiter topic but i really need help...:( im taking me better powersupply from my old pc and placing it in my new so i can get a nice videocard... but one of the wires in the powersupply is actualy wired to the light to the front of my pc that says " asus" the only way to take it off is to rip it out... so... is this what i do? im not able to have the light anymore to tell me when its on... will this affect anything?

can't you take the light out along with the wire?

or would that cause more destruction than anything?

Can you take a photo of the offending wire? It should be ok but a picture speaks a thousands words.

With a little effort, you should be able to remove the LED from the chassis and take it with the PSU. It can just hang loose (tie it back with the other loose PSU wires) in the new chassis as a redundant LED if there's no space for it.

Be careful not to break it, gently manipulate it, don't just yank at it.
