Hi,
When I set the Orbiter 2024 time to "Now" the map shows the ISS in a completely different location than where is actually is as per web sites such as Heavens Above..
How can I set my Orbiter to show where the ISS actually is?
Not critical but I was trying for set up a flight to the ISS using the current, or close to, time/date.
Thanks for the help,
Den

You have to understand that the ISS is an artificial object in an unstable orbit. It is subject to subtle atmospheric drag that adds up over the months. The station has to be 're-boosted' from time to time in order to stay on its intended orbit. This makes impossible to predict the station position years ahead, unlike planetary bodies.

So the best thing you can do is to find the orbital elements of the ISS on an astronomy website that tracks the station, and enter them into your scenario.

Thanks,
I found Alex Frost's modified scenario editor that just may be the answer to edit the orbiter elements for the ISS.
BUT this may already be in the scenario editor.... hopefully I can figure it out.
EDIT:
No need for Frost's editor... everything is now in the 2024 editor YEA!
I edited the ISS elements and now it is exactly where it should be
THANKS
Den
