i put my log below but i can't find the problem i see the base parse error but i have always had that show up so it shouldn't be a problem now the only thing i can think of is the "orcas" base on mars that i just added

You're on an Intel GMA right? I've got that chipset, and I've never really got the D3D9 client working well on it. That would explain the failure with the Orbiter_ng.

When you tried the ordinary client, it failed because of this line:
"Active lights supported: -1"
You need to turn off Local Light sources, or do this hack:

i already did and it works on another install and it was working on this on before now and i have always gotten that line even when it was workig

Its just another casualty of Murphy's Law! If all else fails and it works on another installation just copy your scenario files to this installation and away you go where you left off.
