Well, I just need a D class atlas booster mesh, with the conical top end. Fitting a different payload skirt on top of it would be a minor problem, so it could be adapted to be flown with different payloads or upper stages... I just don't see the fuzz around the Atlas, it is not overly complex.

Good morning getlemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, would you be interested in doing the Atlas A? Here is a link:

http://www.siloworld.com/MISSILE LAUNCHES/CAPE/Launches/atlas__a.htm

I hope this helps. This would be very interesting to see. Otherwise, here is the Atlas D link:

http://www.siloworld.com/MISSILE LAUNCHES/CAPE/Launches/atlas__d.htm

And also, if you contact Mr. Liber, he did a pretty good job on the warhead that he shared with me. Perhaps he can give you some help. Here is a picture:

Good morning genltemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, what is the conical top end?

The later Atlas versions had a cylindrical liquid oxygen tank front, for fitting the Centaur stage. I think the Atlas F was the last to have the conical front.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, if it isn't too much trouble, could you possibly post a picture, please? By the way, are you interested in the Atlas A?

One of the links I had posted, had a profile of both tanks with dimensions, this showed it pretty well.

The A is only historically interesting, as it lacks the final engine configuration of the really used Atlas versions.

Good morning getlemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, I couldn't find your link, but I can guess what it is. Is it the silver box on the side? I belive it contains the guidance profile.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, sorry to hear you won't be developing the Atlas A. The link that you sent me screws over my Internet, too.

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. Urwumpe, I tried Googling it, but could not find anything.

Good morning gentlemen
For anyone monitoring, would they like to see an Atlas A? And do they know what a conical tank is? I personally can't do it because I'm not a developer.

Do you know anymore classics that are not currently in Orbiter?

Good morning gentlemen,
For Mr. MJR, so far, I have not seen the SNARK. Or Polaris, or Trident.

The scout family? The various Kosmos launchers? A Dnepr would also be nice, maybe I can make it. Is the ICBM derived launch vehicle used for launching various spacecraft, especially the German SAR Lupe sats.

The Atlas with the cylindrical oxygen tank:

And a drawing of the sustainer stage, while different to the Mercury Atlas and the Atlas ICBMs, it also has the details on the separation system between booster engines and sustainer stage, which are also used in the older atlas versions. What changed had been the size of the electronic skirts on the sides, the electronics became much smaller since the Centaur guidance did the steering in this version.

And this drawing shows the dimensions of the two different tank versions:

I thought we were discussing Mercury & Gemini improvements, not ICBMs...

Oh, well, back on topic...

Urwumpe, would you be interested in adding the verniers to the Atlas for Mercury and perhaps some additional pad smoke to pads 14 & 19?

If so, let me know which files you need.

Thanks...
