Quick question:
Shouldn't the main mirror be covered during launch, or there's no mechanism for it? I think the "hat" part on the telescope is its mirror cover that is only opened after the telescope reaches Sun-Earth L2. Kinda similar to how Hubble was deployed from the Shuttle in 1990

It looks like a cover is then extended to the hood.

I can just put a cover on it and press a key and cover is gone.

I wonder if the shield around the front is not rigid. but it is all of the fabric?

Looks like it is not rigid at all...kinda like the sunshield of the JWST

On the cover. I think we just do this. on launch it will show the covered telescope and press a key and the the unfolded cover is seen
