Hi everyone!

Back in 2018 I wanted an app with a summary of all spaceflight related news. There was none, so I decided to build one myself.

Before I could do that I needed an API, so that's what I build in the second half of 2018. It's called the Spaceflight News API (SNAPI). The API is still in active development, with new features planned over the next few months (planned besides marrying and moving, so that will be fun).

With the API out of beta I started work on the app. I've done a couple of itterations and currently I'm on iteration 2,5 (didn't like iteration 3, but backported some stuff to iteration 2) and I'm quite happy how it turned out. I'm not a developer by profession (Linux Engineer, <3 Red Hat), so with that in mind I think I made some good progress (if I can say so myself).

With that all being said, I'd like to invite the Orbiter-Forum community to beta test the app. The beta links are public, but I'm only posting the invitation here right now. Again, I'm not a professional developer, and I definitely don't like UX design (don't worry Xyon, I'll still help with the Forum upgrades), so if you have suggestions please let me know.

Hi everyone, me again.

The apps have been submitted to the appropriate app store, and have been accepted. This means that the apps are available to download.

The iOS version still has a pending review on an update, but I think (=hope) that it will be approved and released later today. This update is already live for Android and includes a reference to Orbiter and the Orbiter-Forum community as a thank you. Orbiter and OF ignited something in me which made me the spaceflight enthusiast that I am today. It is because of this that I created the API and the App.
