We have a little problem though with the UCGO bases. They seem to like packing themselves back up when you're not looking. I have a fix in mind though; I'll see if it works.

MML-02 Details Due to a high altitude on final Izack decided to play it safe and go around for another try at landing 2nd time was a charm touch down was -3ms at a speed of 162knotts total mission time was 1 day 3 hours ( i think thats what it said)

A few Questions about my mission tomorrow:
What altitude should my final orbit be?
Should I finish aligned with Phobos?
How much Fuel Should I leave left?
When should I get there (1 year, etc.)

Just bring her to a circular orbit around Mars,(Inclination doesn't matter) just make sure that you have about 70% to 80% fuel left.

But... If you could place the Prometheus on a circular, co-planar, (1k higher than Phobos orbit.... then it would make my job SO much easier).

A little snippet from Red Mars I think is appropriate:

That's a big ship... I was reading the development thread, it seems pretty interenting, but perhaps overkill?

Anyway, I finally completed a successfull Earth-Mars transfer in Orbiter '10!!! It seems I can't get IMFD 5.4 to work like the "older" version, so I reverted back to IMFD 4.2.2 and got there (in the simulator of course, since I've already flown my mission).

It's all good, thanks for getting me back into flying again!
