Request Orbital Sciences Antares family

Anyone have any good shots of the water suppression system ?

Some more views:

this is the level 1 base tile, I think that'll be the limit for the rest, you have to stop somewhere!

Some level 6 tiles:

you can just see some level 9 tiles at the centre.

Present extent of level 9 tiles.

I'll continue the L9 tiles to cover the runway to the South of the base, then decide what levels are needed to blend in.

how far should the L9 tiles extend up the coast to the North? Its a big sprawling complex! The more and higher level tiles, the longer it takes, and with all that water, its a lot of alpha-maps to do. Still, it keeps me off the streets.

What do you need there? Aside of the rainbirds being exactly the same as on the MLP of the Shuttle. And a lot of the plumbing also appearing to have been seen before.

Decided the tiles so far are de-saturated, so going to redo them. Compare the one at bottom left:

Looks better I think, so I'll continue on with that adjustment.

Ha, never tried ging back and modifying a bunch of tiles, what could possibly go wrong...?

Finished the Southern lvl9 tiles, moving to the North:

I'll keep posting progress here, if someone sees something strange, let me know.

Probably as far North for the lvl9 tiles if all the action is around the launch pad.

The large piping from the water tower to the pad. I could fudge it.

I think there had been two good photographs there, that showed it. Will search for them.

Some of the fuel tanks.

Even without textures, this is looking great, really ! Realism make things look great in general

Is there a Designated Driver/Project Leader I can send the finished L9 tiles to?
If I get the OK, I'll start on the hinterland(good word that) at various resolutions to complete the tiles.

I see there is an airport to the NW, I'd like to start that as a seperate base, and link into the Antares tiles if no-one objects, or has other ideas.

Donamy: Does this image help you with the piping? It is one of the best I have found so far:

Just to remind you that a simplified, yet accurate Wallops base + tiles is available here:

Of course, you are free to do your own version, but if might just be faster to start with something that already has tiles, pads, runways and generic blocks on the right places.... The actual release as better tile blending to the global textures, though.

Also, when you're done with the Antares add-on. I think I'm probably going to make LP-0B for Minotaur I launches, and future Minotaur IV and V launches.

Since Wallops Island image tiles and launch pad is being developed, maybe the next step is to build LP-0B and improve the Minotaur I rocket developed by someone for the 2006 version.

Should be back this weekend, and correct the tiles, knock them down to DDS_2, for the ones that don't need it, then have a go at the coastal bits.
Also see if its possible to blend into 4thRock's default base at Wallops Island

What is the best way to add this?
