Request Orbital Sciences Antares family

I just downloaded his bases.

I've downloaded, but haven't installed them yet. Won't be on my "Orbiter" PC till the week-end, I'll have a look then.

If I can match 4thRocks tiles, it'll make things simpler and faster. I can spend the time gained doing more level 9 tiles to the North.

We'll see how it goes!

Any progress with this? I'd hate to be the guy pressuring the developers (I know that feeling!) but there hasn't been an update since May and it was looking close to being completed. Forgive me if I'm being pushy.

According to Donamy via PM yesterday the whole thing is being coded by our coding master Urwumpe - not sure what's the progress though. Anyway the launch of the Cygnus demo flight is still 1 month away so I won't be panicking just yet. ;)

Good to be prepared though.

Again for the public:

I am not developing it. Not in the sense of it being a project, as defined in the dictionary: It might have a start and a defined set of resources, but no end.

Yes, I have the data files as well and have started coding it, but always with the condition, that SSU and Black Dart are preferred projects. Two projects are already one too much. I wanted to let somebody else do this. Which will now likely not happen at all, because now everybody thinks that they can rely on Urwumpe to do it. Which is exactly the situation that I wanted to avoid by keeping this detail secret and help getting this project ahead.

I also would like simulating the Antares before actual launch, but I simply have not that much freetime to promise any release date of the Antares.

Also: Not coding master. I think my last release of anything happened sometime in the Hadean age, there are other developers for Orbiter add-ons, who are far more prolific. You give better developers a really bad name by calling me master.

Its been a longer delay than I thought, but thats life!

Starting to match 4thRock's Wallops Island update, these are level 6 tiles.

Done three, top three to do. Then the level 9 tiles...

I think the best way to finish this, is as an add-on to 4thRocks Wallops Island add-on. At least it will be complete in itself.
If anyone who is working on this thread's project(Orbital Sciences Antares family ), has any ideas, feel free to comment.

I am not working on the first stage guidance at all.

As far as I'm concerned, you can redistribute my the base and lower level tiles. Just mention it on the docs, so that people know what works with what and there's no confusion.

Your images look great and integrate very well with the global tiles.

Thanks for the kind words and the offer 4throck, that'll make life easier and simpler, very Orbiter minded!

I'll plod on with it and keep you updated.

EDIT: 17/10/13

Just a note that the "TestWallopsIsland" add-on for this project is complete as far as the surface tiles go.
Its a Beta, so take care when adding it. Instructions in the "Orbiter/add-on docs/TestWallopsIsland/ .txt file.

When this add-on(Antares) gets more complete, hopefully we can make all the bits into a simpler distribution.
