Experimenting with RTLS-type aborts with the XR1:

Re-entry didn't work out well and the XR1 fell over Florida. This idea seems to be possible, though.

Maybe with a XR1 ( has more powerfull engine's than the shuttle).
In real life.............doubt that a shuttle would make it.

Messing around with the Neptune 1 first stage and an SC3 parachute addon as I couldn't get universal parachute to work.
Addons are WHAP's ascension island, 80mileshigh's SRB recovery ship, dan stephs UCGO, Kulches Payload manager, Loru's parachutes and harbour addon for wideawake, famandy's Neptune 1, Vinkas multistage and Woo482's SRB transporter!

Anyone call for an SRB delivery?

Successful test docking of my first rocket meshes

Just created my first rocket meshes. And using Velcro Rockets created the config file, added docking ports, created a simple scn file. Was able to put a pair of them in orbit for successful rendezvous and docking.

Despite the fact that they look like a couple of crayons in space, this was a good first dry run of the development process for me.
