Linux, exactly!Linux? ?
If your operating system is Linux, then the 1969 project might be UNIX.
I also want to convert my old Windows 7 computer (not the current Windows 11 laptop) into a Linux computer.
Oh my CDE!Madeleine de Proust ^^

OpenCDE is quite complicated to build, with dependencies on packages not existing anymore. Managed to compile it on a 64bit gentoo on a RPI3 a while ago but it was quite a hassle...Oh my CDE!
By the way it is CDE or NsCDE? because I understand that CDE is not very secure and the code is very old. But a user of FVWM created a kind of desktop CDE (the NsCDE or Not so Common Desktop Environment) that is much more functional and I currently use it when I am on battery because it uses few resources.

And by the way, what Linux distribution do you use?

It needs a complete rewrite :\How do you deal with all the win-api UI code in there? Do you have to rewrite all that, or are there some wrapper libs around?
