Amazing how it is possible to get the same Lunar Module attitude (roll left and pitched up about 8 degrees) when placing the "Falcon" of Apollo 15 at the precise landing coordinates in Orbiter. Start of the first surface EVA. (O2016Beta + D3D9Client + Apollo landing site addon and AMSO with modded textures/materials).


 
Yes, disabled them for the time being, still trying to find a solution for only the lowest level texture (D3D9Moon_A.dds ) to render the shadows of its alpha channel onto my global moon texture.

I would have thought that commenting out (double-slashes) the two not wanted lines in \Config\MicroTex.cfg would solve that...

Last one (for today... :) ). LMP Schmitt and CDR Cernan (Apollo 17) heading back to their lunar rover after exploring station 2 during EVA-2 near Nansen crater at the foot of the South Massif. The shallow ridge rising beyond the rover belongs to the terrain of the Lee-Lincoln Scarp which is a prominent geological feature located at the western end of the Taurus-Littrow valley on the Moon. This low ridge or step, approximately 80 meters high, runs north-south and marks a relatively young, low-angle thrust fault formed by the contraction of the lunar crust. The land west of the fault was pushed up and over the eastern side as the Moon's surface contracted over time.
Looking North-north-east, in the distance the North Massif (left) and Sculptured Hills (right) are visible.

Yes, but we are in general more liberal here than in MSFS. We can go to air, but MSFS can't go into space.

The one thing about that is that some people (like me) have horridly underpowered GPUs (Iris Xe) and MSFS is notoriously intensive and requires a decent GPU. In OO2024, you get same bang for less buck.
