I want to try this so bad but, I can't find Microsoft Speech Recognition Engine v5.0, if thats the right one for winxp can someone please link me to a site with the proper software for winxp. Thanks

Use this one. Just run the installer and you're set.

ok, now the only problem I have (since I changed my mirophone) is that the OSRM still can't recognize my pronounciation of the number 4, or 5, while the windows one works just fine, what's the problem here actually?

If you say it happens since you changed the microphone I guess thats the problem. Try positioning it farther away from the mouth, or lowering the mic volume a bit, and eliminating background sound. If you are using a microphone, and not a headset, you should put Orbiiter on mute, since the background noise it creates will affect greatly the performance of OSRM.

Great addon!!! Thakns.
Just one question, I have windows xp home and I was wondering how to get the OSRM engine to do what the windows vista or 7 does with the commands such as "press I S S " or any kind of typing command.

That would require:
1) A modification by Microsoft of their own engine
or
2) A modification to OSRM

It will be up to Jaunelm if he feels like adding that function for XP users.

thanks for pointing out where I went wrong, I watched the video and tried to remember I guess. I did however say "MFD select" but I'll test it again when I can be loud (tis 10pm)

if anyone lacks a microphone I truely suggest the reverse speaker method even if it is a little more muddied signal wise, its better than no mic at all :) from the video I can see this mod is very useful if you can get it running correctly for you, "pro 9 0 4 spec [inc.], execute" is blatently an awesome thing to be able to do (auto hover start ascent to LEO, by voice command! the commands may be slightly different but i'm sure you get me)

next time I will write down the command list and try again.

Very good. Thanks.

PS:
What is reason why there is no "thanks" button on the first post of add-on threads? If there were, those who want could passively show their appreciation of the author's effort without chatting up the thread (like me here) and leaving it for things like bug reports, installation questions and reviews. Just a thought.

Hello everyone,

I have updated OSRM to work with Orbiter 2010. Give it a try! Just run the installer found here, and install the OSRM module found [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4517"]here[/ame], and you're set!

Enjoy

I do. Do you think I should post it at the hangar? Otherwise I could send it to you through email if you want it (PM me).

I found an error in the 2010 version and I fixed it. If you downloaded it, please update your version.

Basically all commands relating to MFD's and Orbiter commands worked, but the commands relating to the specific vessel being used would not load correctly.

It should now be working correctly. Please let me know of any issues you find.

I have just downloaded Orbiter 2010 the Orbiter speech recognition module, and I have a question about the flight computer and the autopilot seen in the youtube tutorial. In the tutorial video, your DG control panel looked different than the mine. My panel does not have a display window (where the autopilot codes appeared (eg. PRO 903 SPEC 90)). Also, when I try speaking "display," the speech recognition module doesn't understand (although it understands other commands, like main engine cutoff). Also, when I first start Orbiter and select a scenario, if I try to run either "DGIV with Copilot" or "UMmu Turbopack" under the "OSRM Samples" folder, the orbiter programs aborts and I get an error message that says: "Terminating After Critical Error. See Orbiter.log for details." I opened the Oribter.log file. Here are the contents:

Does anyone know how to fix this problem, and/or how to get the display window for the autopilot system to appear on the control panel in the DG? Thanks.

I have the OSRM, BUT, I'm on a non-administrator account (controlled by my parents). I know the password (he he he:hide:) to their account, so I downloaded it on their account-I have a universal folder I use to move files in-between accounts-installed it, then moved it all to my account. And it still doesn't work. Im not exactly sure what I did wrong.

Okay, well I've got issues (don't we all).
But seriously, I have pretty much the same problem as mentioned: only the MFD commands work for me. Generic and Vessel commands don't load.

I have:
*Orbiter 2010
*OSRM 2010 V2 (Got it from the hanger about 1-2 weeks ago)
*Speech Recognition Engine 5.1
*WinXP

Was V2 was the buggy OSRM or the fixed one? Other than that keep up the good work:cheers:
