Question Prograde/Retrograde auto-pilots

Hello there,

I would like to know:

when i try to make the encounter with Mars, using TransX, on the ARROW starship, I want to make a (big) retrograde, to decelerate the ship (to put the ECC < 1 in the orbit MFD)

i want to be captured by mars gravity..

i used to do it before in a transx MFD version (v3, i think, ) witch didn't have the auto-center feature, in maneuver mode on, now i have a "transx (2)" .

Is this an upgrade of the TransX?

I don't know why, but the prograde and the retrograde autopilots don't start, in the Arrow starship. (this situation does never happen to me before, i always could do a BIG retro-burn, to close the orbit.

because when i reach the periapsis of the Mars orbit (PeT=~0 in orbit MFD) i need to decelerate or "i miss my window".

I think, it's the auto-center....But.... Actually, i don't know...

This prograde/retrograde autopilot "blocking" got something to do with it? (when the auto-center is on, the ship makes the orientation by it self, all i need to do; it's to burn the deltaV (target view) with the parameters i engaged in the maneuver view....

I can't land land in Mars (olimpus base, i guess)...

Does anybody know's why?

Hi there

A typical test against such problems: disable the suspicious module and retry.
And more precisely - yes, there was an auto-center bug before which interfered with APs of all ships in the simulation. Do you have the latest version of TransX? (click on my addons on the left pane) If so, did you disable the auto-center manually in the manoeuvre mode after use?

Well, I did install an auto-center fix....

This time, the target view give me a warning to disable the auto-center, witch i do...And i turn off also the Maneuver switch, in manouver view.


But i still can't start the retrograde burn...

Is there something, i'm doing wrong?

Any Help, is welcome. Does anybody has a theory/hint/link ?

I had installed a LOT a modules, but i disabled most of them...Should i keep disabling modules..(try and error...Exclusion of parts)

For now, disable just the TransX and TransX2 and retry.

No need to apologize, I'm sure he was just joking around. By the way, was your problem solved after turning off the other modules?

No, Castor.

I'm still doing it "the old fashion way" (i dont turn on the auto-center)

so in the "target view" of the transX, i do the "auto-center" myself with rotation and translation RCS engines (takes more time and patience, but works, this way i don't have problems starting the Auto-Pilots: prograde and retrograde).
