Here is a selection of books from my own referance library that others may find usefull for building aircraft and spacecraft meshes and add ons.

Designed more as a coffee table book more than a complete historicle refferance work it none the less has many color photos and exploded drawings that will be usefull for mesh and model work.

2) Military Jets-Design and Development:1945 to the Present Day ~ Robert Jackson ~ Thunder Bay Press ~ Copyright 2003 Amber Books Ltd.

Another coffee table book with more photos and color drawings, this book offers up some detailed info on the performance specs of many types of military aircraft.

This book is an invaluable resorce for aircraft from the WW-II era.
Each aircraft comes with a highly detailed and numbered technichal drawing , photo, and table of performance specs for a givin aircraft. If you want to make a WW-II aircraft add on for Orbiter, this book will be an excellent source for detailed information. The aircraft represented are broken down into the following catagories.

Bombers and Dive-Bombers
Fighters and Ground Attack
Transport,Recon., and Maritime Patrol Aircraft

There is also a short but complete index at the end.

4) Illistrated Encyclopedia of Military Aircraft: 1914 to Present Day ~ Enzo Angelucci ~ Chartwell Books Inc. ~ Copyright 2001 Arnoldo Mondadori S. p. A. , Milan. ISBN 0-7858-1359-4

A highly detailed referance work which contains VERY detailed info on aircraft from many nations and design companies. There are color drawings. B&W drawings, and several cut-away drawings in addition to several large fold out chart pages and detailed graph charts. Details were gathered from musuems all over the world for the making of this book.
It's a treasure trove of info for Aicraft add on developers as well as anyone interested in military aircraft and their history.

All the info presented here is accurate but that's no garuntee that these books are still in print, but they are the most current ones I have purchased. Toss in any detailed Janes book and you'll have all the info you need.

I hope this will help anyone out there looking for some detailed info.
