Flight Question return to launch site abort

hello peoples,
So I'm a bit new to some of this. I've flown some basic Atlantis missions but not much more than that. I would like to set up a scenario for a return to launch site abort. I've tried the launch into sunrise and then just jettisoning the SRB's and the ET around 15K but it appears that the RCS begins firing and continues even after turning it off. It does this all the way to the ground, and maneuverability seems to be affected. I'm sure there is an easier way of doing this scenario but i haven't found it yet. any help would be awesome!!!!
