Just wondering, is it really possible to dock on Carina in this scenario?
Did input target (by txt) Carina, but still no hard docking

You can use a URMS (attached to the DGIV cargo bay) to 'grab" carina, and use a UMMU to grapple it once you've gone EVA.

There was a pretty decent Carina mod at the hangar.

With some clever editing of the config file, you'd have a very nice looking Carina (the first link) with some functions of the second.
