Now that you've got a LeaSat - 41D would be do-able - would like to see that as well if possible.

Great work!

So sts41D I have done already. The only thing that needs to get updated is the witness plate. Haven't found any info about it.

Added reflection to the GAS in STS 51d

Now the LEASAT.
Leasat is 4.26 meters in diameter and 6.17 meters high with its UHF and omnidirectional antennas deployed. With its antennas stowed in the launch configuration, Leasat is 4.29 meters high. Total payload weight (including launch cradle) in the shuttle is 7711 kg. Weight after separation from the shuttle is 6895 kg, and the satellite's weight on station at the beginning of life is 1388 kg.

In the drawing the green is the default LEASAT. The circle is 4.26m So the LEASAT needs to be redone. AS far as animation there is just the 2 big antennas. there seems to a smaller antenna in the center.

On the UHF Antenna. Not sure how it deployed.

Looking at the cradle. This is from STS 32. Interesting things. The Cradle is using active payload fittings.

Looking at STS 51A. I may need to make a special sat so you can do all the repairs.

STS-51-A saw the retrieval of both Westar 6 and Palapa-B2 satellites, where they were stranded in LEO after their deployment from STS-41-B failed a few months prior

Both these satellites were relaunched later in China (Westar 6, renamed to AsiaSat-1) and Cape Canaveral (Palapa-B2R) respectively....the only ones to do so in history

Thanks.
Flight day five will see the final rendezvous maneuvers with the slowly spinning Palapa satellite. After Hauck and
Walker have maneuvered the Discovery to within 35 feet of the Palapa satellite, Allen and Gardner will leave the
orbiter airlock, Allen will don one of the Manned Maneuvering Units and will fly over to the Palapa satellite. Once
stabilized at the bottom end of the errant satellite, Allen will insert a specially constructed Apogee Kick Motor Capture
Device (ACD) into the spent apogee kick motor casing, which is inside the aft skirt of the Palapa. The six-foot long
ACD will lock into place and special brake pads will allow Allen to use his MMU jets to stop the rotation of the
satellite.
more-
Next, mission specialist Anna Fisher will use the RMS to capture a grapple fixture which is mounted to the ACD
between Allen and the satellite. She will then maneuver the satellite into the cargo bay where Gardner will be stationed
near a special support pallet. Gardner will then be able to remove the satellite’s omni-directional antenna and attach a
separate bridge structure (A-frame) to the top end of the satellite, so the RMS can release the lower fixture and grasp
the top one, allowing the satellite to be lowered into the cradle and latched into place vertically for the return to Earth.
After the arm has grasped the upper grapple, Allen will be free to undock from the satellite and reberth his MMU. Once
Palapa is in its special pallet, the astronauts can remove the bridge structure from the top of the satellite so that the
cargo bay doors can be closed shortly before return to Earth.

Lots of stuff to build and get to work.

So the Omni antenna needs to be able to dettach.

I think in the original STS Sat's the antenna was attached. But I think it is the whole top and antenna that gets taken off

Looking at STS51A wonder what that circled red thing was. It looks like the spacecraft adapter was attached to the sat and then attached to the bay.

UGH. the more I advance the more rebuild.

Thanks to @moonheart We have STS32,41d,51D.

I may need to redo the Satellites. The omni antenna need to be removed. I might just make a key that the antenna disappears.
But I may need to redo the mesh. Here the the stinger ring 1.04M. as you can see it is larger than the ring on the sat.
And the circled is the ABS

Not sure. If I did sts 41g. I will check the scenario and see if I can figure it out.

So I did not make it:
Module = sts_payloads\erbs
MeshName = sts_payloads\erbs

But CTRL 1 opens them

Reworking the Payload pallet. Added the Stinger holding fixture and tool storage on the other side.
Was working on the spacecraft adapter. Technically it was a separate vessel. So the eva guy would attach this to the sat and guide into storage

Looking at the pallet again. I updated the Spaceraft adapter and ABs. The MFR mounts in the yellow box. But there are 2 pfrs mounted to the pallet.
I guess they need added and coded.
