The first day of Saturn approach phasing burns was completed without any issues. All EHEs used for these burns performed within normal flight ranges.

The phasing burns being performed are short, 1-5 minute burns designed to reduce the delta V requirement for the SOI burn as well as improve our timing for our arrival at Titan in 25 days. Because of the speed of our Jupiter to Saturn transit, our on-board flight path calculation software was not able to give very accurate solutions for our final approach vectors to Saturn until we are well within Saturn's sphere of influence. We are making 10-12 burns each day and recalculating our closest approach and SOI delta V requirements after each one. The current plan is to continue these phasing burns for the next 9 days, then perform our SOI burn on day 10.
