Taxiing to the strip!

Hey all!

I'm trying to get with DGIV from the pod to the strip on earth and i can't turn in any direction... my speed is 10m/s and no matter if my controls on rotation or translation it wont turn...

Please help,

check that RCS knob is switched to "ATM Auto"

checked! it's ok! and nothing! I'm using joystick maybe thats the problem? (though numpad also does nothing!)

heh, found the problem, I use the autopilos to hold 10m/s and in this autopilot numpads 1 and 3 are for changing the target speed... (this is an absourd!)

It's not absurd at all. If you were familiarised with the DGIV's controls, you would have known that the 1 + 3 buttons were going to adjust the AP, and you wouldn't get any steering.

If you want to use a speed hold AP on the ground, set your desired speed, let the computer throttle the engine and level out, then disengage and keep that throttle setting. This will return to you your nose wheel control whilst holding your ground speed.

Or do what real pilots do and taxi manually...
