Is anyone interested in going to the moon in late 2012? If so, please reply and express your interest. This is not a joke.

I'm guessing the idea is you recruit enough people to make a huge human pyramid? And the guy at the top will top 100km? ;)

Care to indulge us? Or will only the 'chosen ones' be privy to this highly classified space shot?

2012 ... If I had the chance I'd jump at it.

The only drawbacks I could see in my case would be my age (over 40), and the fact I wear glasses.

I can't wait for the headlines: "Space agency started on internet forum beats World's superpowers to the Moon".

I don't know about that either. This is about more than money. Do you have a real passion for spaceflight?

Right behind you - don't look!

I do, but I also have a family that needs some security if I buy the farm on the way up, down, or sideways. I have one on my current job which unfortunately entails this kind of risk.

Anyway, anyone who has the money to send me and some other chap to the Moon and (hopefully) back, would have no problem with paying my life insurance (AND a nice bonus for us lunatics, and you would find my fees reasonable). It would be a paltry sum compared to the amount of money needed to finance the mission anyway.
