Coincidental meteor shower. Being in the city and having never seen one anyways, I wasn't expecting anything. But I just saw a really bright one. Awesome.
Going to have to brag here. Clear skies, low light pollution (yes! Florida has a country side to it!) no mosquitoes and a nice 39 degrees outside. To boot, I get a bright flyover of the ISS AND a Iridium Flare!
Took some pictures of the Eclipse. My camera is not the best so sorry for the quality not being good. I also had to fight off the clouds plus it was low and starting to get light so was unable to capture it all fully.
Well, I was going to post some pictures, but they are much better.
The eclipse is currently at a minimum in the UK - I can't see it at all at the moment. The Sun is about to rise above the horizon, though, so only those in Scotland will be able to see the end.
Here we have a complete blanking blanked blanket of clouds... Nothing to be seen, the only thing orange in the sky right now is the cloud being lit from under by the sodium street lights...
I was messing about with one of the pictures of the Eclipse and after enhancing it to a higher quality I noticed something. After inverting the picture, look what I found.
I heard my daughter get up in the middle of the night to go outside and watch the eclipse. But overcast skies in SE Tennessee blocked any view she could get.
She was understanding, but still miffed about it (I'm so proud of my girl!).
