Project Von Braun Spaceport/Airbase (and the Edge Rockets)

Alright....here we go *gulp*

Von Braun Spaceport/Airbase is the AST's main facility (AST is my VSA). It has the capabilty to launch and recover HOTAL spaceplanes and vertical launch vehicles, including the AST staple, the Edge LV family. It is located here: 41.2032, -115.2406

It has three small hangars, and three large hangars for storing and maintaining the AST fleet. The VAB is 375 feet tall. The Runway itself is 4500 feet long, and might be extended in the future.

Development and testing will be very slow, as this is my first base, and LV family (not including the EXETV ). Release is slated for Feb. 2013, but I am more than willing to have people test the ins and outs of the base.

Black: Tarmac/Runway
Gray: Taxiways and maintenance surfaces
Green: Small Hangars
Purple: Large Hangars
Dark Red: VAB
Orange: Launch pad
Pink: Fueling facilities
Brown: Admin buildings/Mission Control
Dark Blue: ATC tower
Light Blue: Fuel pipes
Blue: Flame Trench

Anyway, to be relevent to the topic here, do you intend on creating custom buildings for the base?

Most likely. I might use the default SLF runway, and reduce some of the work. The picture in the first post is more of what the 1.0 is going to look like, since I want to add a parts construction facility, and vehicle testing area.
