Not sure how I went from metal to instrumental synthwave (despite enjoying both , actually, concerts etc when possible) I guess the synth just triggers the same reaction as a good riff, and for the rest, they have enough parts in common. That's for the instrumental part, vocal synthwave seems to be worse than the kitsch 80's stuff, at least to my untrained ears.
