Windows XP.

FYI, it's actually called an operating system, OS for short ;)

I would like to upgrade to Windows 7, however.

Why not making a poll where we can choose multiple os's? I'm using Windows 7 and Ubuntu ;)

The poll question is: What version of computer are you using right now?

Maybe I'm using them both right now.. :shifty:

Ok, my bad, you're right. I'm sorry

My computer is a x86 with SSE and MMX. What you are offering as answers are operating systems and mobile devices (the operating system of the iRobots is iOS)

Windows XP

Also, the thread should be named "What OS are you using?" no? :P

Windows 7 on my desktop gaming rig, a custom self-compiled x64 variant of linux on my servers, and right now I'm posting this from a phone running BB OS 6.0 (blackberry torch).

In terms of physical architecture my rigs all share similar spec, which is in my profile, though the gaming rig takes the higher-end stuff, including the 8GB DDR3 Corsair somethinorother RAM and the GTX 560 Ti coupled with a new AMD Phenom X6 six-core CPU featuring MMX, SSE 1, 2 and 3 and a whole host of other stuff I've forgotten about.

Well, you could be running Ubuntu in Virtual PC, so yes, you could be using them both right now.

Win7 Professional 64 here (right now)

@ home, I have Win7 Home Premium 64 on my desktop. My laptop is dual-boot Win7 Home Prem. 64 and 64-bit Ubuntu 10.10 "Macbuntu."

Come on guys, don't let Orb's first day as admin be spent trying to break up a Super-OS-War battle...

Seriously though, I'm on XP on the "internet laptop" (i.e. old and expendible in the case of malware), and use Vista on the "new laptop".

Some day, I must give another OS a go...

Looks like i am alone with my Vista then!

Wait a second... if Martin is using Linux, then how come Orbiter is for Windows? :idk:

Martin voted on Linux because that is the one he is using at this second. He may have two computers: (Windows for developing Orbiter, Linux for all the other stuff).

XP. Vista has a laundry list of problems and 7 is too dumbed-down and inconvenient for my taste. Plus I don't want to click through half a dozen security windows to run a program and I don't want to specify "run as administrator" for every program.

XP works, and I'm happy with it.

Now is a hard to define thing, so this should have been a multiple choice.
Win7 here now, 2 other windows computers, 4 linux boards, and 2 custom ones. Half of that park can access internet.

So, what would the poll achieve with "now"?

But Orbiter works on Linux, too. Right?
Nope. Not without some rasping.
