Question What's up with Imageshack?

Yesterday I noticed that all of 4throck's images (at least those in the "stock bases upgrade" thread, hosted on imageshack) are no longer available.
I've just remembered that yesterday morning I saw the same issue on Forum Orbiter Italia homepage, where the background image is also hosted on Imageshack.

So, is there any problem on that platform?

I'm not aware of problems Imageshack might be experiencing (a Google search from the past 24 hours doesn't return anything about it).

I can only tell that if some of my images will disappear from the forum, it will mean Dropbox got rid of the public directory feature (direct linking was the reason why I switched to Dropbox for hosting images).

Imageshack betrayed us all. They switched to a subscription based service a while back (couple years ago?) and seemed to have deleted all of the freely hosted images.

Imgur seems to be a decent way to host images.

Yes Imageshack seems to have changed to an account system.
Good luck with that, I can use GoogleDrive for that, easier than creating a new account.

Another free alternative will present itself. :hmm:

I have no problem with it.
You just have to register, it is free.

I seem to recall imageshack being a good place to get a virus years ago before they switched over anyway, haven't used it in a long time.
