hmmm... informal crew name perhaps... from a marketing perspective that all falls apart i think.

Shuttlepod maybe? It's a shuttle, and sized like a 2001/2010 pod without the arms (One could always use urms if they want)! I can't remember if I ever saw a name like that before so I don't know if it's original.

Names are tricky. Many a time I'll come up with a good idea, but not have a name.

Starpod
Ravenpod
Deltastar
Deltapod

see, you've gotta look at this from a marketing point of view the name shouldn't reflect a products weaknesses... Limited range isn't something you'd want to emphasize.

hmmm... Gnome says kinda ugly to me, ok it's not the most beautiful looking plane ever... However, like Neutrino, it suggests small and It's small size is its real strength.

I think you are on to something with that one. I'm thinking Eaglestar would be pretty good too. Many planes have been associated with eagles. A good spin on eagle seems interesting.

Ok, my shortlist of names i like for this ship:

Sprite
Nymph
Imp
Gremlin
Songbird

Any others? I'm not keen on Eaglestar because an eagle is more powerful & larger bird than a raven, so though it has the association it would imply that this vessel should be larger than an XR2.
