I should think the xr craft have sufficiently advanced and reliable cabin construction. Cabin probably wouldn't lose pressure unless it was all smashed up.

Well its not so much cabin pressure as general crew safety. If a strong wind gust were to jolt the craft, an occupant might smack their head against a surrounding hard surface hard enough to knock themselves out. I believe that was one of the original reasons for jet pilots to wear them, no?

XR pilots are never going to wear HUD helmets in the cockpit, so there is no sense in arguing about it here.

First rate materials work there. It looks really good.

Are his feet sunk into a well in the floor beneath the control panel? He looks sort of scrunched up in there.

Will there be on board space allocated for things like a kitchen, toilet, etc., or will that be in a CHM module?

There is room for his legs.

There will be sleeping compartment for crew (this hatch between pilot and co-pilot seats) + toilet + small kitchen (entrance located in tunnel to payload bay)

Other facilities can be provided in CHM

What does the inside of a CHM look like anyway? :)

Don't know - haven't modelled it yet. :p

Well - it looks spacious only because it's wide compared to height.

Proper bridge will be in XR7

As if I wasn't already dying to take the XR3 out for a spin now you show the amazing XR7?! Oh baby I can't wait!! Any chance of taking a beta version for a run around the block one of these days? Thanks for all of your amazing work!

Things left to do:

1. Meshing
- (VC) 2 small joysticks for docking station
- (Airlock) a locker for EVA suits
- (cargo bay) - trench cover (to allow XR2 modules to be transported
- crew - which will be done a lot faster since I've learned a lot during meshing XR3 itself.

2. Texturing - although major textures are done but XR3 needs detailing.

3. Thruster placements

4. Animations

I'll ship craft mesh to coding before making crew since they're only meshes and I can work on them while vessel is being coded and beta tested. Same with textures since almost all elements are already UVW mapped.

I estimate my work at 90-95% complete

The interior of the XR3 shouts "Space Quest" at me. Fond memories!

Can't wait for both these ships to be available.
