Hi,

I want to be able to fly at high altitude and high speed in the atmosphere on auto pilot. The atmospheric auto pilot has limits in place for altitude and speed. 25k altitude and 1000m/s speed.

Is there any way of increasing these?

Thanks:thumbup:

For which add-on?

You'll probably have to increase velocity to be able to fly at 25 km altitude. I know the OBSP autopilot cruises at 15 km altitude at some 750 m/s already and it calculates the velocity so that the lift the wings produce stays approximately the same as at low altitude. In this case, 200 m/s scales to 750 m/s.

Judging by the limit values you're talking about DG-IV - AFAIK there is no way to increase it as they're hardcoded into this vessel.

What about using UAP?

I've found that the TX is pretty stable at Mach 5 at 150,000ft although I do want to try UAP with it and see if it'll do as much of the flying for me as possible.

yes it is the DGIV. So there's no way of changing the code or anything like that? Any other ideas welcome.

Many thanks for post so far.:)

As garyw said UAP - universal autopilot opened in MFD

is there a way of keeping the speed higher that 1000m/s on a different auto pilot setting and or is there a trim? I notice theres a trim graphics but it doesnt look like you can alter it....maybe theres a way around it like that?
