Problem Quicksaves/other scenarios minimize immediately after launching

I have run into a rather annoying problem with Orbiter 2016. When I launch quicksaves, or any scenario that I made myself, the program will minimize to the desktop immediately after I launch it. I have tried several things, including messing around with the video settings, and can't seem to...

Software Using Bandicam or other screen recorders

Does anyone here ever use screen capture software, like Bandicam or Fraps, to record Orbiter flights? If so, I would love to know what settings you find make the best quality video. Also: I use Bandicam, and have noticed that it does not work with Orbiter 2016. It makes the game crash. I did...

    Orbiter 2016

I've just started to get into it, and so far I love the new interface. One issue I have is that the program turns off ClearType font on my PC. If anyone knows how to keep it from doing this I'd appreciate it. I have to say, the new Earth and Moon textures (and Mars!) are really quite beautiful.

    Request Atmospheric balloon

Something that would make a very cool and useful addon is an atmospheric balloon. Ideally, this balloon could be deployed in the atmosphere of Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, etc., and even be launched from the surface of Venus or Titan. You could attach cargo to it and control its rising and falling in...

    News Space Launch System News

Naturally I take pride in the fact that America achieved feats like the Saturn V and now the Space Launch System, but what's even more pride-instilling to me is the fact that both were designed and tested right here in my home town of Huntsville. In the 60s, von Braun himself lived here and...

Gaming AI fighter pilot wins in combat simulation

Four against two? I'd like to see a more even matchup against perhaps a full squadron of real, trained Air Force pilots and see if this AI is as invincible as it seems. I have reservations about using this on real aircraft, but it could make real pilots exceptionally good if used for training.

Flight Question Can you rendezvous with a craft in a solar orbit?

Thanks a lot for taking the time to try the scenario and help me out. I'll keep practicing and see what I can do.

Flight Question Can you rendezvous with a craft in a solar orbit?

I'm at work right now; I will post it as soon as I get home. The vessel I'm rendezvousing with is from the AMSO Apollo add-on. Is it ok to keep it in there, or do I need to take it out too? No other add-on vessels are in the scenario (maybe except the XR-5) ---------- Post added 06-22-16 at...

Flight Question Can you rendezvous with a craft in a solar orbit?

I'm reasonably familiar with IMFD- I know how to set up a good flight to the Moon and Mars. I've already tried using it to intercept my derelict craft but I just miss it every time. It gets me in the ballpark, but not anywhere near visual range. I need to get close enough to put it in the cargo...

Flight Question Can you rendezvous with a craft in a solar orbit?

I've created a scenario which involves rendezvousing with a derelict spacecraft in a solar orbit that passes within the Earth's sphere of influence (it comes to about 180,000 km away from Earth). I have the craft right where I want it in the scenario, but I'm having trouble figuring out exactly...

Programming Question Can you put ANYTHING you want into a cargo bay?

I'm really starting to get into creating scenarios for Orbiter, and I have a rather ambitious project I'm working on now. Believe it or not I've been making good progress on it, except one important issue I can't seem to work out. I don't want to reveal too much (for fear of someone stealing my...

    What's up!

Hello Orbiter Forum! I'm very excited to join! I've been playing with Orbiter off and on for about five years, but only in the last two years have I actually started to get serious about learning it. My current skill level is such that I've almost completely mastered operations within the...
