    Gaming F-Sim

You've only destroyed simulated Orbiters ;) The Full Approach Mode just needs a little patience. Strange that most find it harder, when IMHO from final flare to main gear touchdown is the hardest bit.

    Gaming F-Sim

The Joystick feature takes a bit of getting used to, but I've been getting more consistant perfect scores with it. However, it's easier on the iPad as compared to the iphone/ipod Touch. The reason why the visual version of the the chute was not included in this release was becasue the original...

The Side Hatch window cover, that need to be animated as well as the rest of the Side hatch. One thing I'm missing is the other side of the airlock hatch (as seen from the ODS). I'm 100% on the Canister replacement.

    Mid-Deck development

Sorry I've been away, loads of new tasks in my new job, which I'm happy doing +50hr a week in this job then 30hrs in my old one :) I like both Sims and want to enjoy the middeck in both. And yes, there are differences between the two, but only from a 'techincal' point. Also there have been...

    SSU V1.25 Release

Thanks Donamy :) I'll take a peak at the model in Orbiter, and tweak the texture colours if require. George/Gary* *Delete as applicable :)

    Solidworks model to Orbiter?

I've been trying that with the middeck model, Messy to CAD model, got very messy.

It was a poor attempt of Marvin the Martian type of humour, and a screwed up the quote :D

Good news all, preliminary version one is almost complete, just got to place a truck load of 3D switches and other small stuff in. Another 'parallel' version will be used in another simulator. Please do not flame this post, or I'll be mad

    Mid-Deck development

 Yep the Drop ship is a private project. You could say it's an on/off project and has been for the last 4 years. I mainly do something on it when I'm stuck waiting for info on live projects. http://desktopsimmer.blogspot.com/2009/03/aliens-dropship-and-apc.html Oh yes when the Middeck...

    Mid-Deck development

Not orbiter related, It's a small movie of the Aliens dropship. The Landing gear is going to be a SOB to animate as the actual landing configuration can't fold away, as parts collide with each other. Sci-fi designers are never practical :)

Backups, everywhere! An FTP link to my parents which backs up everything from 3Dmodels to family photos (My parents have the reverse for their stuff to a server here) every day. Every 2 hours a backup from my primary NAS to my secondary NAS at my house (both RAID 5), the HDD in the PC is a...

    Mid-Deck development

This model is based on a mid range PC of a few years back, namely mine ;). I might go for a <10,000 version for low end PC, I could even go lower, but that would probably ruin quality. A high polygon model would be probably 30,000-40,000, even +50,000, but that would be daft.

    Mid-Deck development

is H, I and S missing? ;) I've been too scared to check the poly count as i've added more objects in. so after 4 whiskeys I've plucked up the courage to ask the computer, hid behind my sofa and believe it or not, it's just under 17,000 polys. I thought it was going to be more like 50,000...

A 'version' in V2 will be a CAD format. At home I can export IGES or DXF file formats. However, an additional bonus with my new job (CAD Administrator) and I have access to many formats, CATIA V5 mainly, but I'll try to suit your needs ;) I have a 'different' version of the flight deck, but...
