Problem Docking while landed

Hi all,

My latest project requires a docking on the ground to connect the cargo transfer system to the DG. However, when I dock through the scenario editor, the alignment is incorrect (it docks in a strange position), and the pilots instantly die in the DG-IV. Also, when I undock again, the sim crashes.

What do I need to do to make ground dockings possible?

If they aren't possible, would I be able to make a platform, and use Meshland to elevate myself above the ground?

This is a problem. I had the same problem while ago. And I think you must use attachments for this.

Would I be able to do that using an INI file (for the DG-IV)?

Yes. http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3262. This would be possible. Then the platform would be a cargo with another cargo.

A rewrite of the orbiter core, basically.

Your best options have already been listed in this thread, UCD or attachments.

Right - I'll go for UCD. I can release it as a 'more realistic solution to external cargo transport', i.e. - not just bolting things to the wings and taking off.
