HD Images live from ISS!

And back up. You see black image when ISS is in shadow, and grey when ISS not in contact.

and it's back down.
Streaming nicely here. Are you sure you didn't just see the blackness of the night-side? The HDEV cameras are optimized for the day side so the night-side appears as nothing but black.

ISS just crossed the terminator over Thailand.

I've been watching this for a while and I have to say, I'm impressed with just how well Orbiter does, especially with the Level 11 Earth tiles.

Still misses atmospheric scattering to reproduce the effect fully. When this will be added, planets with atmospheres will be looking so much more realistic.

Doesn't at least one of the addon graphics clients do this?

D3D11 does this, yes. And it's damn beautiful! But compared to D3D9, D11 is not that advanced, and while it has shadows too, I prefer the planet shine and reflection that the D9 team has brought to us.

I know that. it was down for some time then (as in gray/signal lost, not black).

The feed is down a lot, but when it works, the images are amazing.

Gray then black means that the HDEV is switching cameras. There's three different cameras (FWD, aft and nadir) and every so often in switches to a different one.

Here's a good soundtrack, I think:

You can really see that 70% of the world is covered with water...

Use it like screensaver - turn on HD and enjoy
Tried to, but flash keeps telling me that I need the latest version, which I must do because in every single web browser I could find the page is showing correctly.

Might be unrelated, but there appears to exist some sort of malware which very convincingly fakes the need for a Flash update.

Not unknown. there is also a nearly good malware pretending to be the Java update page.

If you are neither Java developer nor German, those might fool you here - the Java version for the pretended update is long obsolete and the German language used on that website is only looking well if you quickly skim over the lines - in reality the sentences are non-sense.

But it really looks like the Oracle page on first sight.
