Hello, and :welcome: to the forums.

Some people have had problems with installation verification tool that is executed when you first time run the "orbiter.exe".

The best would be if you provided all the informations about your computer hardware and installed operating system, and whether you have installed any software that could block the execution of DirectX diagnostics, like supervision/security software for running applications (or antivirus), and whether you ran "orbiter.exe" with administrator rights.

You can read comments of this issue report and try my suggestion there to bypass the install verification tool.

I just got orbiter 2010 yesterday, and its been working great(even on a crappy comp). Today I downloaded a few add-ons, placed them in the root folder, and now I cant get launchpad to open. I click the exe and it opens on the program bar, but the window doesn't open. I can open the NG(no graphics) one but you can't play from it. It just says server mode. Any help?

I click the exe and it opens on the program bar, but the window doesn't open.
The reason for this it that Launchpad's window has offscreen location. It's a bug that was fixed after the Orbiter 2010 release in new betas.

To fix this in your installation of Orbiter 100606, you need to to open Orbiter.cfg file, that is located in the root Orbiter folder with a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and remove the line that starts with "LPadRect". Next time you run orbiter.exe the Launchpad will appear with default location and size.

To prevent this happen in the future, you can try one of Orbiter betas released after Orbiter 2010 (100606) from here.

The scenario can't find the multistage2 dll. However, I think that 2010 has issues running multistage2, so you may not be able to run this scenario in 2010 (but hey, 2006p1 is still avaliable).

---EDIT---
Details are over here regarding multistage2 and Orbiter 2010.

Hmm... I downloaded that zip and installed it... still doesn't work. It seems to just be the jarvis missoins not working. The rest is fine. I can live without it i guess.
