Hello, i'm rather new to this game although i seem to be having difficulty getting the autopilot take-off to do what i want it to. heres what i type in at the start:

run('Atlantis/launch') <enter>
orbit_alt=220e3 <enter>
launch() <enter>

i have also tried setting an angle with azimuth but it seems that every time i try to get atlantis into orbit using the autopilot, the ship falls straight back down to the ground (no, i'm not speeding up the time at all). it doesn't even have time to finish/jettison the large orange tank (excuse my lack of knowledge but idk what to call it haha). any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

The azimuth angle is in radians. So to set one, you have to type "azimuth=<DesiredAzimuth>*RAD" (i.e: "azimuth=42*RAD")
The large orange tank is the External Tank (sometimes shortcuted to "ET")

And you have a strange problem ... Do you have a joystick activated in Orbiter ?
And of course ... Welcome here ! :cheers:

Do you have 'unlimited fuel' enabled, the autopilot was designed for it off so the shuttle is WAY too heavy

the orange tank is called the External Tank (ET)
the rockets on the side are the solid rocket boosters (SRB)
and the Atlantis herself is called the orbiter

I had this problem also but i realised i had unlimited fuel on. You have to turn it off or your ships too heavy
If it still doesnt work, is it a problem just with the autopilot or cant yu launch manualy either?
